The roleAs Design Engineer Combat Systems at Damen Naval, you will be Develops combat system design solutions into a set of requirements during precontract activities. Performs (sub) design tasks within the technical team of a tender under the direction of the Tender Manager, Proposal Engineer Combat or Manager Combat. Writes reports and specifications and works closely with colleagues within and outside the tender.
Key accountabilitiesAs Design Engineer Combat Systems your key responsibilities will include:
Perform design and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Contribute to requirements analysis, concept generation, general system architecture, block diagrams, system design specifications, identification, and evaluation of design options.
Evaluate designs against requirements and prepare corresponding reports.
Write technical documents, equipment specifications, contract specifications, and reports, effectively communicating complex concepts and data.
Facilitate communication with stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on technical solutions.
Participate in discussions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical aspects of proposed solutions.
Support cost evaluations provided by suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal departments to optimize project outcomes.
