Role and Responsibilities

As a System Performance Generalist you act as a support line within NXT System Performance (SP) of the TF Factory. You are expected to be able to solve technical issues independently during all SP milestones, through troubleshooting and problem analysis. You can design and provide action plans for others within SP to solve these issues (e.g. damages, failing tests, progress and performance issues) and you are a crucial aspect to the overall knowledge and skill level of SP.

During supported shifts (~60%) you function as a 1st line support organization of SP engineers. Using your skills and knowledge to assess technical complexity of issue, to suggest the correct way forward (e.g. a small action plan to be performed by SP, or to escalate to Technical Support). This way decreasing unneeded escalation or respectively speeding up the escalation process.

During unsupported shifts (~40%) you focus on securing progress. This by continuously assessing machine status and risk, in support of the regular way of working such as the continuous desire to decrease DN’s and the “Stop and Fix” process.

This will vary from enabling sequence to be performed, providing AP’s to SP engineers, troubleshoot actions and ordering parts, individually or collaboratively working and solving blocking DN’s to ensure progress.

In both instances you can support delicate or complex hardware actions, in order to decrease hard down time during supported and particularly unsupported shifts. You keep learning and developing your knowledge by joining other organizations (e.g. technical support/module build) and sharing this knowledge with your colleagues (Generalists and SP engineers).

You can be in the center of escalations where many Departments and competences work together on complex issues, so your communication skills are crucial.

You will work in the regular shift schedule of System Performance and have a crucial role in the self-reliance of SP, by training and actively sharing your knowledge within the SP organization. As experienced engineer your role is improving the overall solving power of SP. This by individual issue resolution combined with training, guiding and developing the whole SP operation.
