Electrical Test Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Electrical Test Engineer.

The job

In this challenging position you will mainly work on the electrical insulation of our direct-drive generators. The focus of this work is on practical experiments to support the further development of the isolation system. You provide technical support to R&D and QA/QC. You will produce reports on your experiments and also provide recommendations for design improvements and procedures.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Developing structured test procedures to validate the quality of our electrical insulation system.
• Prepare reports on the findings of these procedures.
• Devise and, if necessary, make test pieces and set-ups yourself.
• Provide support in devising and developing new concepts for insulation systems, including methods for verification.
• Teaching new colleagues.
• Be responsible for HSE topics during the tests.
• Supervise the quality of delivered materials through regular inspections and analyses.
• Identify and introduce improvements to resolve potential quality risks.

What we ask of you

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering with experience in High Voltage Testing of insulation systems.
• A good knowledge of electrical machines and preferably high voltage.
• Experience in setting up and operating electrical test equipment (e.g. multimeters, insulation testers, power supplies).
• A hands-on mentality, don’t mind working in the lab and workplace as well as in the office.
• A good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
• Recognize yourself in the following characteristics: safety conscious, accurate, analytical, inquisitive.
