Job MissionASML’s Development and Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design and integration of ASML machines. In this sector, Machine Conditioning department specifies, designs and integrates the (sub-)modules and architectures related to Flow and Thermal domains for all business lines. Flow modelling group is part of Machine Conditioning department and working with all business lines (EUV, DUV & Apps). Therefore, the impact of the team is ASML wide.
In this position, you will be responsible of working together with CFD experts to prepare state of the art flow volumes for the CFD simulations that are used to drive decisions and design evolution of the ASML machines. The responsibility starts at the beginning of the product generation until the system is functional at customer site. You’ll support enabling a modular and representative geometry preparation to support our holistic platform roadmaps of ASML. You’ll help discovering and realizing the erupting technologies like: topology optimization, machine learning, that require parametrization of models, moving reference frames and more.
Job DescriptionASML is at the edge of the technology and determining the state of the art. Therefore, this work requires pushing the limits of CAD knowledge further in collaboration with the flow modelling experts from different business lines and backgrounds.
The complexity of ASML systems require a very-well documented work flows. You’ll be a part of CAD4CAE competence team and help defining the modular and fully embedded engineering workflow. By the help of innovative and efficient workflow, we as flow modelling group can shorten the lines toward projects in all Business Lines.

ASML is organized in 3 business lines: Deep UV, Extreme UV and Applications. Flow modelling group serves ASML wide to different functions and projects from all business lines. Flow modelling group is responsible of building, creating and discovering state of the art flow modelling tools, workflows and methods to enable functional teams to design the most efficient and innovative products in the market. Flow modelling group also provides knowledge/understanding of the relevant physics phenomena for high-end ASML systems. You will be working in a team of experts who have the ambition to challenge high-end complex flow problems. This requires committed people who would like to use and broad their CAD experience in the coming years and who aim to be recognized as expert throughout the company in his/her field of expertise, by contributing to a team of experts that respect each other and are always willing to help their colleagues. Our influence spreads over the complete ASML-organization, we focus on ASML core and critical simulations and interact with dedicated farm out parties that apply our way of working and systems to execute part of the CFD work.
