IT - Release Train Engineer

Introduction

Job Mission

As release train engineer you are responsible for delivering added business value for ASML’s operations sectors. You help shape the capability improvement roadmap and are responsible for preparing and executing this roadmap. You make sure the teams in the ART are well connected and all relevant stakeholders are involved. You strive for greatness and bring out the best in people and teams. You have a strong focus on continuous improvement in your ART and are able to coach individuals and teams.  

Job Description

The release train engineer is responsible for one of the ART’s in the department IT Operations Solution Delivery for Planning, Sourcing & Supplier Collaboration and Market to Cash. These ART support ASML’s value chain by delivering IT solutions supporting their processes.

You understand the importance of stakeholder management and build a strong network within ASML to take the ASML business teams along in this agile mindset and processes.

As RTE you are responsible for:

• Orchestrating the teams and ensuring the overall performance and delivery capability of your ART
• Facilitating the agile rituals (like program increment planning events, scrum of scrums, agile portfolio management, etc.)
• Monitoring the predictability and efficiency of the ART, the employee engagement of the team members and the satisfaction of its internal customers
• You ensure that the continuous improvement mindset in the ART if fostered
• You manage risks and impediments together with the scrum masters of the different teams
• You manage the ART roadmap together with the chief product owner (CPO) and the system architect

Education

Academic working and thinking level, ideally, candidate will have a Master degree in an IT or Industrial Engineering discipline.  You have sound knowledge of project management methodologies as well as agile development and DevOps based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Experience

We’re looking for an enabler, a professional who has a strong leadership mentality and has a strong background in project management or similar roles. Having acted in agile environments is key for success. As an RTE you can bring experience in SAP implementations, know how to challenge your teams and are a meticulous planner.

• At least 3 years experience acting in similar positions in an agile setting;
• Preferably experience in SAP implementations;
• Fluent in English and preferably Dutch.
