Job description
As an IT System Engineer you will be responsible for proactively monitoring and continuously improving all servers and services delivered by the IT department to the organization. A good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems is required, on client and data-center side. You will control the local infrastructure or Cloud services and configure them in an efficient and secure way. The VDI environment must perform well. The technical engineers, (project) managers and the customers are the core of this organization and you will need to support them as 1st or 2nd line support. Frequently we need to visit and check the IT systems condition on the remote sites, including China, Vietnam and Belgium. Next to the daily operational tasks you will have own regional or global projects. You will prepare the scope of work, plan, deliverables or business cases. All of these activities need to be agreed on together with the your business and IT colleagues.

Technic skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT infrastructure and services field
  • MCSA or MCSE of Windows Systems
  • Administration of the iOS / MacOS or Linux system is a plus
  • Administration of Microsoft Cloud services (Azure, Office 365) – certificate is a plus
  • Knowledge about the networking and server infrastructure (Huawei \ Juniper Switches , Tintri \ HP
  • Storage, DellEMC \ HP Servers) is a plus
  • Understanding the Citrix VDI solution
  • Knowledge of scripting automation like PowerShell Management or ESX Hosts (Microsoft / VMware)
  • Firewall and load balancer configuration (Palo Alto, F5, Check Point)
  • The Microsoft and Linux client systems administration (iOS \ MacOS is a plus)
  • Basic knowledge about PLM/PDM solutions (Siemens)
  • Backup and restore solution management (Veeam)
  • Configuring and management of server and end user protection (McAfee / Sophos)
  • Understanding the ITIL standards and processes
  • Operating a service desk tool like ManageEngine \ ServiceNow
  • Some experience with software development tools like Eclipse, Visual Studio, Subversion, Git or Jira is highly appreciated.
